This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1, with its Mach-specific twin-nostril hood, front and rear spoilers and de rigueur muscle-car graphics, certainly looks the part. It was repainted approximately eight years ago, and it is believed to retain its original H-code 351 Cleveland, two-barrel V-8 engine (backed by an automatic transmission). The interior was also refreshed at the time. The seller, who purchased the car in its current condition and has owned it for five years, reports the car starts, runs and drives well. This Mustang was repainted its original Bright Blue exterior color, matched with silver accents and “Mach 1” graphics, eight years ago, according to the seller, who rates the finish quality as a “10 out of 10.” There are no reported blemishes, nicks or swirl marks in the paint. According to the seller, there was no known significant body damage prior to the repaint and there is no reported rust in the body. The seller also reports the exterior trim, moldings and glass are in very good condition, with no significant scratches, pits or nicks. All of the exterior lighting is said to work normally. The only deviance from the stock appearance is a set of 15-inch Eagle aluminum wheels, wrapped with Cooper Cobra radial tires.
